Boeing Enters Parts Package Agreement with AMP

AMP names Boeing a Platinum Supplier for parts

Boeing and Airline MRO Parts (AMP) signed a Tailored Parts Package

(TPP) agreement, exemplifying a truly collaborative approach to addressing customer needs. The contract makes Boeing a supplier for AMP’s parts business and identifies Boeing as a “Platinum Supplier.” Boeing’s Parts & Distribution Services team worked together to provide a single proposal across the elements of our parts business, increasing the efficiency of our response.

“This agreement exemplifies our goal to drive customer value and world-class performance by offering the largest global aerospace-related parts portfolio to virtually every aerospace customer segment,” said Mini Desai, vice president of Commercial Spares and Managed Parts, Boeing Global Services. “By creating partnerships with our customer’s needs in mind, we will continue developing and enhancing our customer support to provide safe, quality parts that enhance operations.”

Nearly a year in the making, the agreement was a collaboration from the start. Through this arrangement, sourcing transactions are conducted wholly via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) powered by AMP’s automated solution. The result is improved efficiency for both Boeing and AMP, significantly reducing both total supply chain cost and order fulfillment span time.

“As a result of the transparent negotiation process, Boeing has exceeded the standards necessary to support the automated processes our customers have come to expect. We are delighted to recognize Boeing as a Platinum supplier,” said Wayne Mihailov, CEO of AMP.
